Great quality Cedar, but went for Oiling and Waterproofing Service as well...
Top Quality job, recent Heavy Rain just ran off and looks really good, first class accommodation for my Bees!

Cedar should last for years untreated but opted for this extra as the hive would be very exposed before being finally positioned. Enhances the appearance of the wood.

Well worth the little extra

I bought the 8 nuc queen rearing hive and later discovered the waterproofing service provided by Hyde Hives, I decided to have this done while the hive was being made and I have to say I,am really glad I did not only does it make the wood look fantastic I know my hive is protected for years to come.

There is also the cost to consider @ £25 its actually as cheap as buying the cheapest Danish Oil and doing it yourself (2 cans x £11.99 = £23.98 at screwfix https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-danish-oil-clear-500ml/7393v )

Stands up well ti the rain and other elements

I love the Hyde Hive so much! The coating has protected from the extreme storms we’ve had plus the lashing rain. The colour is bright too. Really worth it ti protect the hives
